Semper Fortis Up & Up

Quality and craftsmanship are the core pillars of all Semper Fortis’ furniture, and that’s why we offer our exclusive Up & Up service for upholstered items such as sofas, chairs, ottomans, beds, chaise lounges and barstools purchased from Semper Fortis as of 25 January 2022.

We understand that furniture is a big investment and is something that will stay with you or your clients for years, or in our case – a lifetime.

How it works

Up-lift, upcycle, and upholster your designer furniture using this service in which we will re-upholster any item you purchase from us, anytime your space needs an up-lift in the years to come. This service is included in your purchase from any Semper fortis store, comes at no extra charge and is available to our retail sales and interior designers/trade.

Select the latest material at one of our Semper Fortis stores from Hertex, Home Fabrics, Romo, St Leger, Mavromac and a number of other fabric houses.

We will only invoice for Fabric, Delivery & Collection.

We will not charge for upholstery. We’ll sort out the rest. We are proud of our furniture and our quality, and strive for a long term relationship.

Terms & conditions

  • Clients must register when making their purchases.
  • Free collection and delivery within a 50km radius from JHB, PTA or DBN – outside of this and a quote will be sent for an extra charge.
  • Excludes any hoisting that is required.
  • Includes the stripping and re-upholstery of soft upholstered items only.
  • All our inners are guaranteed for 5 years. However, if need be we will fluff them up and refill at no extra charge. Any damage as a result of misuse identified once the item is stripped we will assess and if our technician suggests we will supply a quote to repair.
  • Lead times – we require 4 weeks prior notice of the activation and receipt of the order & payment for the fabric. Turnaround times are 7-14 working days from collection of the item & fabric is in hand.
  • This service is only available during the months of February to September and is reserved for no more than 4 items per annum per client.
  • Fabric must be purchased through Semper Fortis. If a trade client is handling this their Semper Fortis trade discount will apply to the purchase.
  • Lead times depend on fabric availability.
  • This applies to furniture that is used for domestic use only – and not any items that have been used for hospitality or contract applications.
  • A Semper Fortis representative will need to view the item on-site and perform a complete inspection to be signed off.
